This is great!
Anything else you want me to link to in the side bar?
I could have made an alternative list this week starting with Justin Rose, Andres Romero, and Stephen Ames, all guys I wanted to pick but when push came to shove... I'll still be rooting for Rose, not rooting for Ames.
A pair of unknowns (Justin Hicks and Kevin Streelman) sharing the lead after one round. (Espn)
True, Im not familiar with Taylor HIcks but Streelman is not unknown.I've picked him in previous fantasy formats. I used to have a student named Kelli Streelman in Okeechobee. I was hoping he was her older brother. He is not. However, I still look for his name. I like golf.
When Zach Johnson and Trevor Immelman won majors, the headlines all read "A relative unknown." This might have something to do with the Tiger Era. In other words, if you're not Tiger and you are on the PGA Tour, you a relatively unknown.
Looks like everyone except for Ian Poulter is in. Good picking!
The last video in the video section is awesome. It's a bunch of pro's tee off, rapid fire style. I also like golf.
How about Davis Love III pulling out the 69? I almost picked him out of pure nostalgia--one of my all-time favorite players. You can never count him out.
My Phil is doing better than your Phil! (???)
Yes. I gave you Doc Phil instead of Phil Mick. I'll change it right away.
Loves still good for a 60 something now and then, but I don't see any rainbows in his future.
I still pick him in the Play Station One Tiger woods game. Dude is long off the tee.
Good for Villegas, and Weir too!
I'm keeping my eye on Jimeneth today. It just seems right. Tiger put on a show yesterday, but it turned my stomach every time it looked like his knee hurt. I kept screaming at him to get off the course. He'll need another surgery by Monday if he keeps this up. I want to be watching Tiger for another twenty years. Course, I want to watch him win on Fathers Day almost as much.
The back 9 on saturday was the most exciting golf I've seen.
I know. Maybe ever.
Tough call on who will win this week. I don't know if Todd's +6 +6 +7, Gorss' +4 +6 +9 or my +3 +8 +9 will generate more points. Seems like maybe Todd or myself? Big money Gap between 5th 6th 7th and 8th place.
God bless the USGA! They are streaming a free live webcast, so I can watch at work. Rocco missed an ace on #3 by about an inch. This is the greatest day of my life...
I can't find a Web site that shows the earnings.
http://www.majorschampionships.com/2008/microsites/usopen/2008/06/16/results/index.html
a site with this year's open earnings
Will the totals and current fantasy standing be posted?
Yes. I'm working on getting them in the side bar.
If someone can't get their golfers in on time or forgets, they should just get the golfers they had the week before, agreed?
yes or they keep the same players and if one or more of their players is not in the next week's tournament they get david duval in the empty slots.
the site looks great. the totals are perfect save for my position.
is the word verification necessary?
I think we can add a few later dates to the 'when will Tiger play next' question...
